Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Sprague Pond is one of the shortest destination hikes in the Adirondacks, reached by a brief trail from the Cedar River Road area in the Blue Ridge Wilderness. The trail extends 0.4 mile to a scenic pond stocked with brown trout, and the standard outing is an easy out-and-back walk with minimal gain. This is not a challenging hike, but it is useful for hikers who want a quick Adirondack pond stop, a gentle family walk, or a fishing-oriented destination without committing to a longer wilderness route.
