Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Stewart's Ledge Trail is a brief east-side Lake George hike that reaches an open viewpoint above the lake. The route is a short, family-friendly outing with a 20- to 30-minute climb and a 1.4-mile out-and-back profile with 272 feet of gain. It begins from the Buck Mountain trailhead area and uses a side path toward the ledge, so the main planning note is navigation rather than endurance. It works well as a quick overlook hike, especially for visitors who want Lake George views without a long summit route.
