Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Treadway Mountain is a well-known summit hike reached from the Putnam Pond trail system. The Treadway Mountain Trail leaves Clear Pond Trail and climbs 2.1 miles and 925 feet to the 2,208-foot summit, with a short spur from the western shore of Putnam Pond used to access the route. The full outing is longer than the summit spur alone because hikers must first reach the Treadway trail from Putnam Pond. Treat it as a moderate to moderately hard summit hike with repeated rocky viewpoint rewards and several route junctions.
