Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Upper Wolfjaw is one of the rougher wooded summits on the Lower Great Range ridge, usually reached after Gothics and Armstrong or from the Johns Brook side. It is less scenic than Gothics, but it adds real ridge mileage and rugged footing.
Cautions
Upper Wolfjaw involves rugged ridge footing, repeated elevation changes, and a long exit from either AMR or The Garden. Wet roots, ice, and late-day fatigue can make the descent slower than expected.
