Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Wanika Falls is a full-day waterfall hike for people who want distance, forest travel, and a quieter High Peaks Wilderness objective instead of a short roadside cascade. The route follows the northern Northville-Placid Trail corridor through rolling forest, wetland sections, brook crossings, and Chubb River terrain before the side trip to the falls. The waterfall itself is only part of the appeal; the larger experience is a long interior approach with camping potential nearby and real backcountry commitment for a non-summit destination.
