Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Whiteface Landing is a Lake Placid shoreline hike from the Route 86 / Connery Pond access corridor. The route follows old road and forest trail toward the lake, offering a quieter way to reach the north side of Lake Placid beneath the Whiteface area. When Connery Pond Road is open, hikers can start closer to the pond; when the winter gate is closed, the trip begins from the Route 86 bridge area and becomes longer.
