Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Winding Falls Trail leads from the Route 421 corridor toward Winding Falls on the Bog River in Horseshoe Lake Wild Forest. The route to the falls is about 2.5 miles one way, usually about five miles round trip, with other longer loop possibilities nearby. The destination is appealing because it reaches a secluded waterfall and river setting without major mountain climbing. The route can feel indistinct in places, so frame it as moderate, map-dependent, and better for hikers comfortable with old-road and ski-trail navigation.
