Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Wolf Pond is a scenic pond hike in the Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest, reached by a relatively gentle trail from Blue Ridge Road. The route is rolling and approachable compared with many High Peaks trails, but it still delivers a strong backcountry feel at the pond. The destination includes shoreline views toward the High Peaks and surrounding mountains, fishing potential, and a lean-to reached by a short spur. It works well as a moderate half-day hike with more payoff than its mileage suggests.
