Gothics via AMR & Beaver Meadow 6-29-25
Gothics for #19/46. This was a rare frustrating day in the mountains for me, however it was still a great day.
Had planned on hiking Colvin and Blake, but since Blake sucks and has no views at all I thought “its going to be nice today i should save that for a cloudy day”. Since Gothics and Armstrong are both some of the better high peaks for views I decided on those.
However part way up the trail my body stopped responding to anything and everything. The trail was steep, however wasn’t overly technical. But my body just felt horrible and did not want to cooperate. Didn’t want to take water, eat food, nothing. On top of that, it ended up being extremely cloudy on the summit of Gothics 😫
So I gutted out Gothics and will save Armstrong for another actually sunny day when I can do Upper Wolfjaw too! 🥾🥾
