Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Blake Peak is the tougher, less scenic half of the Colvin and Blake day, reached only after climbing over Colvin and dropping into the col. It is often remembered less for its summit than for the extra descent, reclimb, and long AMR exit it requires.
Cautions
Blake requires a descent beyond Colvin, a climb to Blake, and a reclimb over Colvin on the way out. Do not add it unless the group has enough daylight, water, and energy for the full return.
