Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Dix Mountain is the high point and namesake summit of the Dix Range, with approaches from Round Pond / Route 73 or from Elk Lake as part of a larger range day. It stands apart from the central High Peaks and has a wilder, more remote feel.
Access
Useful route hub near St. Huberts/Keene corridor. Verify route associations.
Cautions
Dix is a long, steep High Peaks climb with remote terrain and serious weather exposure. Do not add other Dix Range summits without enough daylight, water, and energy for the full route.
