Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Donaldson Mountain sits between Seward and Emmons on the Seward Range ridge. It is rarely a casual standalone summit, because reaching it usually means committing to remote herd-path travel and a long Coreys Road day.
Access
Primary Seward Range hub. Verify parking lot/trailhead coordinate. Signed roadside lot on the north side of NY-3; fills early on busy days.
Cautions
Donaldson is part of a remote herd-path ridge system. Mud, navigation, repeated climbs, and the long exit to Coreys Road can make the day slower than the mileage suggests.
