Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Mount Colvin is the scenic and historical anchor of the Colvin and Blake pairing, reached from AMR by Lake Road, Gill Brook, and a steep final climb above the Ausable Lakes. The summit has the stronger view payoff; Blake adds the harder-earned 46er work beyond the col.
Cautions
Colvin’s route is an AMR access day with steep, eroded, and sometimes muddy footing. If adding Blake, save enough time and energy for the return climb over Colvin and the full Lake Road exit.
