Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Mount Emmons is the far western summit of the Seward Range, usually reached after Donaldson during the Seward, Donaldson, and Emmons traverse. Its distance from the trailhead makes it one of the more committing High Peak add-ons.
Access
Primary Seward Range hub. Verify parking lot/trailhead coordinate. Signed roadside lot on the north side of NY-3; fills early on busy days.
Cautions
Emmons adds remote ridge mileage after the main Seward Range approach. Do not continue beyond Donaldson without enough daylight, weather margin, and energy for the full return.
