Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Nye Mountain is the lower wooded summit in the Street and Nye pair, reached by the same Indian Pass Brook approach and unmarked herd path used for Street. It is usually climbed as the second summit after returning to the upper split.
Access
Adirondack Loj / HPIC is a paid, high-use High Peaks gateway; the lot often fills early on busy days.
Cautions
Nye shares the same unmarked herd path and Indian Pass Brook crossing as Street. High water, mud, and route-finding can make this short-looking summit more complicated than the mileage suggests.
