Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Seward Mountain is the anchor of the Seward Range, reached from Coreys Road by a long approach and unmarked herd-path climbing. It is usually planned with Donaldson and Emmons, but the rough footing and remote position make Seward serious even before adding other summits.
Access
Primary Seward Range hub. Verify parking lot/trailhead coordinate. Signed roadside lot on the north side of NY-3; fills early on busy days.
Cautions
Seward uses remote herd-path terrain with mud, steep footing, and a long return to Coreys Road. Treat route-finding, water, daylight, and weather as major planning factors.
