Adirondack Loj / HPIC is a paid, high-use High Peaks gateway; the lot often fills early on busy days.
Cautions
The Street and Nye route uses an unmarked herd path and includes a brook crossing that can become unsafe after rain or during high water. Navigation, mud, and wet footing matter more than summit views.
