Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Whiteface Mountain sits apart from the central High Peaks, combining a steep Wilmington-side trail approach with an exposed summit ridge near the Veterans Memorial Highway. The standard hiking route often pairs Whiteface with Esther from the ASRC and Marble Mountain corridor.
Cautions
Whiteface has exposed upper terrain and fast-changing weather, even though the summit can also be reached by road. Treat wind, cloud, ice, and summit congestion seriously, and do not let the highway setting make the hike feel less consequential.
